Install and play

Windows
  1. Unzip the download somewhere you like, such as your Desktop. Don't run it from inside the zip.
  2. Open the EterraFPS folder and run EterraFPSClient.exe.
  3. If Windows says it protected your PC, choose More info then Run anyway. Test builds aren't code-signed yet.
  4. If it says a VCRUNTIME or MSVCP file is missing, install Microsoft's Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and try again.
Linux
  1. Unpack it: tar -xzf EterraFPS-prealpha-20261104-5e4f760-Linux.tar.gz
  2. Run ./EterraFPS/EterraFPSClient.sh
  3. It renders with Vulkan, so make sure your graphics drivers support it (vulkaninfo --summary shows them).
In the game
  1. On the main menu, press Connect. The address is filled in for you.
  2. Esc opens the menu; controls and audio are under Settings.
  3. Bots keep the server busy, so there's always someone to play against.
Every build only works with the server it was released alongside. If the game says the server is incompatible, or won't connect after an update, download the latest build from this page.
